Overview
Hanzi Screen is designed to work primarily on your device. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
App data
Learning preferences, favorites, progress, widget settings, and similar study data are stored locally on your device unless a feature explicitly states otherwise.
Speech practice
If you use speaking practice, the app may use Apple speech recognition services to convert your spoken Mandarin into text so it can be compared with the target word or sentence. Microphone and speech-recognition access require your permission. Availability and processing may depend on Apple and your device settings.
Analytics and advertising
The current version of Hanzi Screen does not sell personal information. Any future analytics, advertising, or third-party service that materially changes data handling will be reflected in this policy and in the App Store privacy disclosure.
App Store
Downloads, purchases, and distribution are handled by Apple. Apple's own privacy terms apply to those services.
